22 agosto back. to. schoolI guess it's about time I start blogging again. I have a hard time getting started after such a long hiatus. What's new with me? My new job has me back to school 2 weeks earlier than usual....yeah, that's not so exciting. But the good news is that so far I like my new work and it's an exciting challenge. I have all sorts of new responsibilities, in addition to teaching part-time. I am now one of the school's technology coordinators. We take charge of everything technology-related in my school. Yeah, I'm the IT guy, except I'm not a guy. It's kind of funny because I have a hard time figuring out how to fix my own home computer sometimes, and now I'm responsible for helping to maintain about 300 computers, the network, servers, computer set-up, software, purchasing, etc. Plus, we do the technology teacher trainings and help teachers learn how to integrate technology into their curriculum.Thankfully, I have a terrific co-worker who knows what she's doing and who is patiently teaching me the ropes. She and I get along great, so that makes the work so much more enjoyable. What else is new? I'm approaching my one year anniversary with my guy...that's exciting...for me. He finally dropped the L-bomb on me not to long ago. He-he...that's what my guy friends call it. Yes, those three little words that made me do internal flip-flops. Right now I'm just listening to the thunder and the pouring rain. The sound makes me oh-so-sleepy. I hope you are all dry and flood-free. This rain is something else, right? |
